Welcome to the Parish Council website

The Parish Council meets monthly at either Marsh Green Village Hall or Rockbeare Village Hall.  Everyone is welcome to attend and there is a designated period at every meeting when members of the public may ask a question or bring a matter affecting the parish and/or its residents to the attention of the Council.  The meetings usually start at 7.30pm.

Details of the dates of forthcoming Parish Council meetings can be found on the website.

Due to the resignation of Jeremy Honeywill the Parish Council is now looking for a new member.  If you are interested in becoming a Councillor or would like more information about the role and its responsibilies then please contact the Parish Clerk, Mrs Judy Morris.

The Council was sorry to learn that Mr Honeywill has decided to leave us but we all understand his reasons for making his decision and we would like to take this opportunity to wish Jeremy and his family all the best for the future.

This website has been designed and constructed to provide what the Parish Council hope will be a valuable resource, especially to find out more about what is happening within the Council and the wider Rockbeare community.  As the site develops we hope it will become the local access point for information about the Parish Council and principal Local Authority Services and further advice on these services.  Our 'Useful Links' page contains a number of links to websites that will be of interest to a wide range of residents.

We plan that it will be a further resource for community development and support through:

involving local people more in what is happening in the village;
improving communication;
engaging everyone in local issues, through providing you with more information.

All within the parish we hope will share views and create positive change in what might be a fast changing world for us in the coming years.

To find more information within the site, use the navigation buttons on the left hand side of each page.

We also intend through the website to help us increase our links with the community.  If you would like to advertise your event on the site, please contact the Parish Clerk.
