Vision ICT Ltd works in partnership with the SLCC to help provide local councils to develop fully interactive websites that will provide Councils with flexible and effective website solutions to support your work effectively.

The SLCC is fully aware that, as a Local Council Clerk, you are under increasing pressure to fulfil your demanding and growing role. In order to help and support you in responding to the Quality Parish and Town Council Scheme, the Freedom of Information of Act and the Disability Discrimination Act. We are working together with Vision ICT Ltd. to develop flexible website solutions to support you in tackling the issues outlined above enabling you to increase your use of the internet.

An 'Extra Hand' for Local Councils - The workloads and responsibilities of Local Council Clerks continue to grow both in the scope and levels of work expected. We are aware from conversations with Clerks and Councillors that many Local Councils have websites that:-

they have no control of and have to pay for changes to the website, wait for a friend who designed the website to change it or an ex-councillor or other similar such scenario;
have a website with very limited facilities that was adequate a few years ago but now only enables very limited interaction with the local community;
pay very high monthly fees for the website;
are very hard to amend or update;
have a complicated and confusing navigation system that makes it difficult for visitors to find the information they are looking for;
simply no longer meet their needs.

We are able to work with you in moving the relevant content of your current site onto a Vision Website that we can set up to meet your current needs. Vision Websites have been designed to enable us to work with you adding facilities to your website and making changes to the design as and when required. Remember the content of your website can be changed by you at any time.

We can also set you up with a completely FREE demo website in order for you to see what we can offer and for you to view and try it out before having to pay any money. Once you are happy that your Vision Website is exactly what you need we can then turn it into a live website - your demo website will become your live website and therefore you will not have to repeat any work.

We will also work with you in transferring domain names and email communications to ensure that any change runs smoothly with no interruption to your everyday work.

TRAINING

Do you run a County Association of Parish or Town Councils or County or local SLCC Branch?

We are very happy to set up training events with you at appropriate local venues with Computers and Internet Connections to provide Clerks and Councillors with a practical 'hands on training session' and an opportunity to ask any questions about the internet and websites.
